Hot Cocoa and my Niece

We just enjoyed a lovely little vacation at Eagle Crest Resort in the Redmond, Bend Oregon area. We were invited by my brother Brett and his family! What fun it was to see them again! My sis in law Tenae is expecting again (due in August) and of course (other than her feeling a little yucky) is just as sweet and beautiful as ever! Valyncie my adorable niece had changed so much since when we last saw her a few months ago, she is totally getting all grown up! We haven’t been apart even one whole day and I miss her already! I love her hugs, (she gives the best little kid hugs ever!) her kisses, her smiles, her voice is so precious, especially when singing songs to her mommy, and when she is saying “I love you” – she is such a doll! I made her hot cocoa, and she liked it as far as I could tell (she seems to be a picky eater) anyways I loved it! I think it is by far the best Vegan chocolate milk I have ever had! Here is the recipe: "Brazil Nut Chocolate Milk"1 cup Brazil nuts (soaked) Blend till smooth with 4 cups water and then strain out pulp in a milk bag or cloth, pour strained milk back in to blender. Then add: 1/3 cup sweetener (My first batch I used Agave and my second organic cane sugar) Both were yummy! 3 TBS cocoa powder (Wondercocoa is the best) 1 TBS soy Lecithin (non GMO) And a pinch of salt (pink Himalayan salt is tasty) Blend all till smooth, heat or chill and enjoy! You will be surprised at how absolutely delicious it is…

Faith's jewelry box/mini dresser

My latest Jewelry box/dresser was made especially for my cousins daughter Faith, for her upcoming birthday in March, I picked out a paper line by American Girl because I thought the little girl with the blond hair looked just like her! However after I got done making it I wasn’t so sure…and I wanted it to be just right. So I asked her mom to pick out the one she thought Faith would like best from my lime pickles etsy shop. She did and out of all mine currently listed she chose the very one I had made especially for her daughter! I thought that was pretty neat. It will be really fun to give it to her! She is such a sweet and beautiful girl and I want her to know and be reminded often that I care about her and love her.

These are super easy to make if you want to do it yourself, just get a cute Jewelry box or mini dresser at a craft store, second hand or antique shop. Pick out some super cute scrapbook paper, cut paper to fit just right with a razor knife, glue paper on, sand edges after dry, distress ink after sanding, and viola! You will have your very own useful piece of ART!!!

I love you deerly mini dresser

I am a stay at home mommy to three adorable girls. We live in the mountains, near a beautiful meadow, under a big oak tree, in a round house called a yurt, we rely on solar energy for all our electricity, (we do use a generator some) we have a wood stove to keep the house all warm and cozy, heat the water and cook! Wood stoves are so much fun to cook on and bake in... We have a greenhouse, orchard and a lovely garden area. I so don’t miss the big city! I love making all kinds of altered art, things, cards, scrapbooks and stuff but most of all these little dressers, because they are so cute and can be used for a million little treasures, keepsakes and tiny things.
Will be adding some more cute dressers and some other neat things to my shop soon!!! Happily taking custom orders for mini dresser & jewelry boxes! Love it? Want to see more? Visit my etsy shop!

Teagan's 6th Birthday

Can't believe that my Teagan Belle is already 6!!! She was so excited! Almost daily she talks about how she can't wait to loose teeth! She just wants to grow up already. And I just wish she would stay my baby. We love her silly as can be, from the tips of her toes to the top of her head and to the moon and back!

Well, we hadn't seen our friends in weeks! Since everyone is so busy we figured we would just have to celebrate alone. Because we just had to have a party! But then Sarah the girls best friend and her mommy (my best friend) whom got invited very last minute and they said that they would come! Teagan was ecstatic! She decided she wanted green cake! And we decided to make not only mini cupcakes, but cake balls! Wow what fun! Cake balls are cake crumbs and frosting mixed together, (kind of like a truffle) formed into balls, and dipped into candy melts, and then decorated anyway you like!

Since her birthday was on Sabbath we bought the balloons on Friday hoping they would last till the party Saturday night, but alas they were not floating anymore they were almost all sunk to the floor when it came time for our little Circus the party!

Wish I would have had more time to decorate and get ready! And that I would have gotten some better pictures of the party. None of the ones I took of all the girls together turned out. (pout)

She was tickled when she got several special cards in the mail and some birthday surprises from her friends.

Happy Birthday Teagan!!!
